Connect an AI agent to TopPost over MCP
TopPost has a hosted MCP server, so an AI agent can run the whole video editor for you. It uploads your footage, edits it, renders the video, sends a review link, reads the comments and schedules the post. Add the endpoint to your agent, authenticate with an API key, and there is nothing to install or host.

Without a key the endpoint answers 401 and points to its authorization metadata, so a compliant MCP client can tell what it needs.
How do I add TopPost to my agent?

Create an API key
Sign in to TopPost and create a key on the Integrations page (https://app.toppost.ai/integrations). Keep it private: it acts as you.

Add the server to your client
Point any client that supports streamable-HTTP MCP servers at https://app.toppost.ai/api/mcp and set the header Authorization: Bearer <your API key>. TopPost works with Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, VS Code Copilot, Gemini CLI.

Ask for the job in plain language
For example: “Upload these clips, cut them into a 30-second vertical video with captions, and send me a review link.”

What can an AI agent do in TopPost?
The agent works on the same editor a person uses, through these tool groups:
- Media: upload footage (up to 2 GB per file) or import it from a URL.
- Editing: read the edit as a video sheet, patch it or replace it. The sheet is HTML-like markup of beats, speech, cuts, text and motion.
- Motion graphics: read, lint and write HTML and CSS pages.
- Guidance: the same editing rules TopPost’s own agents follow.
- Rendering: managed in the cloud; the output is an MP4.
- Review: create a review link, list comments, reply and resolve them.
- Captions, the calendar and templates.
Two limits to know about: there is no project or code export (the export is the MP4), and there is no version history over MCP.
What does it cost to connect my own AI?
Connecting your own AI adds no MCP fee. Edits made by your own AI use no TopPost credits, so you pay for storage only: edits your agent makes don’t spend TopPost credits, and storage is the only charge on this path. See the pricing page for storage limits by plan.
